Smithfield market is one of the oldest market and has been around for almost 1000 years now. You will find a variety of meats and other items at a bargain price. The market is an attraction for butchers and restaurateurs, so if you're planning a feast, this might just be the right place for you.
It starts as early as 3 in the morning, and you will find everything from meat to cheese in this market -- and might I add at very excellent rates if you know how to bargain. When I visited this place, I was surprised to see the extent to which people bargained here.
To my surprise, the market also features many other stores such as seconds book store, dressmaker, alteration shop, and even a gothic shop in addition to groceries and meat.
In fact, if you're someone who goes to a flee market whenever you see value in it, you might just love this place.
