This month my wife and I thought enough is enough when we got our latest gas bill through. Every month it keeps going up in price and it is ridiculous. I am sick of seeing on the news the energy companies overcharging and not giving their customers good prices. If they don’t care about loyalty, I don’t either. So I decided to look into trying to compare gas and electricity prices online and finding a better price. I discovered the best prices depends on which kind of package you want to go for, for example if you want a fixed price or if you want to pay monthly or quarterly. We always pay ours quarterly so we wanted to stay doing that and we managed to get some good prices. I definitely recommend anyone to have a look into changing their bill. It’s well worth it and I will keep changing when I feel the price is again too much. Loyalty with companies is dead! Picture: wasabicube
Smithfield is located in Belfast and is quite a great place to shop for a variety of things. I do, however, admit that the area is very run down and appears shabby and sleazy. There is absolutely no place to part, and walking down the area is just as painful. Therefore, unless you can brave these inconveniences, you may want to stay away from it. On the other hand, if you think this doesn't matter much, you're in for some great deals. Apart from the fact that I got to buy meat at a very cheap rate, I liked the fact that there were so many useful stores around such as the one that sold carpets and second hand goods. I got myself a great carpet for very less and a beautiful lamp that was on display at the seconds store. You can find almost anything you want in there -- an old comic book or even a cheap barber. There is also a shop that sells Carribean food; the place also has a good number of cafes that you can stop at while you take a break from all the shopping.
Smithfield market is one of the oldest market and has been around for almost 1000 years now. You will find a variety of meats and other items at a bargain price. The market is an attraction for butchers and restaurateurs, so if you're planning a feast, this might just be the right place for you. It starts as early as 3 in the morning, and you will find everything from meat to cheese in this market -- and might I add at very excellent rates if you know how to bargain. When I visited this place, I was surprised to see the extent to which people bargained here. To my surprise, the market also features many other stores such as seconds book store, dressmaker, alteration shop, and even a gothic shop in addition to groceries and meat. In fact, if you're someone who goes to a flee market whenever you see value in it, you might just love this place.
