My Nan is 68 years old, but she has a greater lust for life than some of my friends do at 28! She has a Nintendo DS and does her brain training everyday, she is on Facebook and regularly sends me emails from her little computer. She had a Stannah stairlift fitted and she has a girl who helps with her weekly shopping, but other than that she manages perfectly fine. She goes out walking and even occasionally goes ballroom dancing with her friends. I think more than anything the stair lift really helped her confidence as she didn't have to struggle with the stairs if she doesn't feel up to it, and it kind of put my families mind at rest knowing she wasn't going to fall down the stairs. Now she is more active than some of my friends are, and I'm very proud of her. Love you, Nan!
It's not really a love new love but rather a rekindled one... but I love Miss Sixty! I've always loved their stuff, even if it's a bit pricier than regular high street shops and labels, that in a way makes it more exclusive. It's really stylish with a slightly more expensive designer edge to it, and it's sexy without being overly sexy or cheap. I'd forgotten how much I loved their stuff until I saw some of their new range on the high street. Since then I've been shopping online for Miss Sixty jeans and dresses, and found a gorgeous coat, but I've had to give myself a limit. I think I could literally wear any of their clothes! Dresses, jeans, tops, jackets, even bikinis. I love it! Photo: USC
We had another session with the IT team setting up our dedicated hosting and so on, and they were telling us all about cloud hosting and it's benefits. They kept talking about public clouds and private clouds, but every time they mentioned a private cloud my mind drifted way out of our conversation and off to a world where I could sit on my own private cloud. I've never really been one for the ins and outs of computer programming, networking and whatever else, so it is not exactly hard for my mind to wander, and no reflection on the IT team either! But imagine, no work, just sitting on my own fluffy cloud - that's the kind of private cloud that really interests me! Photo: Stefan Thiesen
I am looking to expand our business and I have been told that a good thing to look at is a Dedicated Hosting Server which would help have better control of the traffic that comes to our site and also give us a higher bandwidth and a generally more efficient running site. I was wondering if there are any other benefits from such a service and also the general costs. We are a relatively small business and the costs must not outweigh the benefits and the means as well, must fall within the shifts and skill sets of our humble team. I am not wanting to take on anyone new as we are already running a very tight ship at full speed on very little coal.
Having indoor plants doesn’t mean they just have to look pretty. Growing practical indoor plants, such as herbs, can be just as easy and also look lovely in your kitchen. Mint, chives, rosemary, sage, tarragon and thyme are great to grow indoors. Herbs love to grow in pots, so planting them in decorative pots that match the theme of your kitchen can create a nice feature. What is also great, herbs don’t need a lot of watering and watering once a week should be enough. The only thing they do need is light, so by putting them on a window shelf will mean they will grow to their full potential. By having them on your shelf in the kitchen will make it easier to use them in your cooking. You will save money using them and also know you are cooking with fresh ingredients, that you have grown.
